This consists in compressing a joint to stimulate the proprioceptive system. The nervous system is thus instructed to trigger the muscle contractions required to reinforce the joint’s stability. There are 3 levels of support in this category (light, moderate and reinforced) depending on the level of joint instability and/or the pain experienced. These braces are particularly suitable for the treatment of mild sprains (stage 0) and for proprioceptive rehabilitation following more severe sprains.
